Tyranny has been a hallmark of this world almost without compare. Man’s inhumanity to man is unbearable to behold, and with few exceptions, almost all generations have lived through times of tyranny, oppression, and despotism. Our great-grandparents endured the First World War and our grandparents lived through WW II. Each decade is filled with its own despots, dictators, and tyrants and the Isaiah Story comes packed to the brim and overflowing with its oppressors and tormentors whom the prophets describe in great detail. In these papers, we will focus on the identity of the major characters on the stage from the Isaiah Story who play a significant role in the closing scenes of this great drama of the last days. Our goal here is to provide examples for you to understand these things for yourselves so you can read the Isaiah Story with clarity.
Up to this point in the blog, we’ve been discussing the prophetic method of prophesying through types and shadows and metaphor. We’ve discussed the mysteries which include eternal lives, the nature of God, The Lord’s vineyard, and The Father’s work. After which our focus shifted to the first part of The Great and Marvelous Work (GMW) when the Servant stands up among the Mormons just as Jesus did among the Jews. We’ve written about the “O Jerusalem” people, the Strong Delusion, and of God speaking against the latter day prophets. In each case, we’ve used the scriptures to illuminate our topics and explain these facets of the GMW. Our attention turned to the Book of Isaiah, chapters 40-48 and 54, to expose the founder of the Strong Delusion. We then turned to John’s Gospel, chapter 8-11, to demonstrate how the prophets encode the Isaiah Story in their writings.
Beginning with this post, our writing inevitably must expand beyond the confines of Mormonism to embrace the whole of the human family BECAUSE the final 3-years of the GMW will be to all nations, kindreds, tongues, and peoples as the unbelieving Mormons are left behind to suffer double for rejecting and killing the Servant, as taught by Isaiah. When God’s Servant stands back up, His work of salvation is extended to ALL people and everyone is given equal opportunity to accept the truth throughout the earth.
1 But behold, there shall be many—at that day when I shall proceed to do a marvelous work among them, that I may remember my covenants which I have made unto the children of men, that I may set my hand again the second time to recover my people, which are of the house of Israel; (2Nep 29:1)
As all the prophets have testified, the expansion of God’s work to all mankind will coincide with the spread of tyranny and we’ll see how the prophets have woven these acts of the final great play into a single unified story. There is only one story and we’ll look into the darkest chapters of that story.
As you read these papers, please keep in mind that although we are focusing on war and destruction and the worst dictatorship and tyranny this world has ever known, there is also a tremendous redemptive work underway simultaneously, as the righteous are being gathered from across the earth. Even from among the armed forces of the arch tyrant, there will be souls of light gathered out who will lay down their weapons of war and accept God in their midst. Therefore, we have great cause to rejoice knowing that although dark and perilous times will come, there is always light in dark places and God’s perfect work will gather the wheat and provide safety for the sheep of His flock even in the midst of terror and despotism.
As always, the Holy Scriptures will be our guide in contrast to some Mormons who claim visions of grandeur and publish their stories of the end of days, which are totally contrary to the Word of God. Any such accounts that claim to place the leadership of the Mormon Church in the driver’s seat of these events stand without scriptural backing as we have proven; their ludicrous claims can be discounted and tossed aside. The Strong Delusion continues its manipulation among the souls of no light. The scriptures tell us that all things will be under the direction of the Father who will be here as a Man in our midst as He does His own work. The scriptures say nothing at all about the Mormon hierarchy being involved in these events. We are only interested in the truth as written by God’s holy prophets— not the opinions of pundits or the self-proclaimed luminaries who lead the people astray into strange paths.
God’s story of the end time is filled with both salvation and deliverance, as well as destruction and damnation. We must always remember and recognize that this is about God working with souls who are climbing staircases gathering light along the way, OR souls who are regressing into the darkness. Just as the Book of Mormon testifies throughout its pages, there are only two ways; salvation is being saved from destruction, and regression is being destroyed. All the actors on stage will play their parts perfectly to SEPARATE light from dark, good from evil, and righteousness from unrighteousness. When it is all over, the sheep will stand at God’s right hand, and the goats at His left hand. It’s really as simple as that!
8 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall commence his work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of his people upon the earth. 9 And with righteousness shall the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 10 For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire. (2Nep 30:8-10)
The following papers will introduce the despotic actors with the starring roles in the greatest dramatic production in world history. This story can be likened to all of the great wars of modern time rolled into a horrific series of unparalleled carnage, driven by the absurdity and madness of one man and his devastating war machine. The only alternative to the ensuing destruction and annihilation is the Deliverer, “like unto Moses,” who will be in our midst offering liberation and relief to the people of the earth if they will simply repent and believe. This is high drama! A spectacle of tragedy and triumph, remorse and rejoicing.
